I can't sleep so I blog

Last week we were out of school (and therefore I was out of work) for three days! I would like to say that it was nice and fun, but I was sick/really didn't feel well and ended up utilizing that time to sleep! Thankfully I have an amazing boyfriend who took care of me and chauffeured me around when the roads were bad (it's cute when he's so protective!). Since the temperature kept getting closer and closer to zero degrees, I decided (with a little help) that I needed a new coat. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow! Ryan likes to point out that I have an addiction to the North Face, but they are so warm and fit so well! Below is the jacket that I am getting (it should be of no surprise to those of you who know me that it is pink).

I am planning on putting up pictures of things I have been up to, especially cooking and crafts! Most of these pictures will come from my nice camera, but I bet a bunch end up coming from my iPhone. I bought a Sony Cyber-Shot HX1 last summer and have yet to be disappointed with it's pictures. It is one of the few purchases that I have made in my life that I have had really bad buyers remorse with, but it ended up being completely worth it! If anyone is looking for a camera to "bridge" between a SLR and a point and shoot, this is an awesome choice. If you are interested in any specs or in buying it you can find it here.

I am ready for it to get warm outside! It is supposed to snow again this Wednesday (100% chance too). I never thought I would say this, but I really wish it would just pass over us! Last Saturday it got into the upper sixties and I got to go running without putting on a hundred layers of clothes. There were both negatives and positives of that run. Positives = it was warm, the sun was out, lots of people had their dogs playing in the front yard, I got to use my new ipod shuffle. Negative = I am REALLY out of shape! Running is such a different workout than using the elliptical (don't let anyone tell you otherwise)! It's going to be a longggggg road to that half marathon! Another thing that I am currently loving is my running shoes. They are lighter and have more support than any pair that I have had in a while! The New Balance store in Tulsa honestly had the best customer service I have experienced in a long time and I felt like they were really listening to what I needed and wanted, not just what would make them more money. Below you will see my shoes (once again pink...I know, I know). Hoping to put these to much more use than using a treadmill or elliptical though so bring on the spring weather PLEASEEEEE!
I guess that's it for now. It's approximately 2:45 am and I have to be up by 7. Hmm....sounds like tomorrow may be a rough one! Hope everyone has a great week!
